I was so happy to be invited to do a food shoot at The Purple Cow in Little Rock! It was so fun.
Food is typically a tough subject to photograph, and many shy away from it. For good reason too: Most photography is straight forward, appeal to the sense of sight. Show something beautiful and people will feel a variety of emotions. Food is slightly different. It has to look good, but the photograph must also appeal to more senses than sight… It must appeal to the sense of taste. It has to look tasty.
Macro is my favored form of photography, and usually I dont get much use for it other than the occasional close up. My food work was all macro, as I intended to show the texture in the food and every aspect that makes it so delicious.
Here’s a few of my favorites. Be sure to head over to Purple Cow next time you’re looking for delicious food to eat. You might even see my photos on the menu.
